2/4/2018 BEST BONE BROTHThis is my FAVORITE Bone Broth Recipe as it uses 3 different animal bones and because of the type of bones used creates the most gelatinous Broth which is the idea:) All you need is either a Slow Cooker OR a nice big Pot for your Stove Top. Best Bone Broth Recipe Ingredients: 4 Chicken Wings* 2 Pigs Feet* 1kg of Beef Bones* 1-2 Garlic Bulbs cut in half 2-4 Tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar(Essential**) 2 Bay Leaves 1 Celery Stalk 1 Carrot 1 Brown Onion 2 tbsp Tumeric (optional but yummy and very beneficial) 2 tbsp Peppercorns Instructions: Place your bones in first and then layer everything else in, I like to cook mine in a Slow Cooker as I like to get everything I can out of the bones and will cook it on Slow for 24- 48hrs. If you don’t have a Slow Cooker put everything into a big pot on the stove and cook for 8- 10hrs. Either way ensure that you top your water up if needed. Now your pot should be full to the brim with ingredients, your bones should NOT be able to float to the top.. if so you don’t have enough bones. Cook for the above time frames. When done strain your bone broth, I LOVE to eat the veggies and I try and utilise the garlic as well if I can. Once strained your Bone Broth can store in the fridge for 4-5 days and longer in the freezer. I normally pop half in the fridge and half in the freezer. Warm up as required and don’t worry if it appears to be ‘jelly’ like in texture, that is all the goodness that you have been able to extract from your bones THAT is pure gold!! *When I am talking bones, it goes without saying that I ONLY use bones from ethically raised, grass fed animals and wild caught fish. Sustainability at its finest!! ** Apple Cider Vinegar is essential to extract the Amino's and Minerals out of your bones.
